News & Updates

Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States is a volunteer organization.   All officers, elected and appointed, and committee chairs and members are volunteers.  None are paid except with the satisfaction of a job well done.

Volunteers are needed to work and support the Post Home and the events we sponsor.  Please volunteer some of your valuable time for the following positions and events:

TBD:      Our Post home needs some serious maintenance.  Floors need to be stripped and waxed, walls need cleaning, the smoke eaters need some real serious cleaning and, in some cases repair.  Some fixtures need corrective maintenance (i.e. leaking faucets, toilets, etc) and the list is growing.  We also need some help with data entry in the computer to help us communicate better with you.  Please contact the post by calling 831-6121 to volunteer or use our
contact form to let us know what days and times you are available to come down and lend a hand.  A schedule of working parties is being organized and the only thing missing is your support.

Volunteer coordinator:   This position requires several skills military veterans gained during their tour(s) of duty.  The person appointed to this position must be able to keep an eye out while covering the rear, create strict schedules that will be ignored by all hands, and work long and hard with little appreciation.
